UNIT-II Mill Expansion Plan – Implementation Summary

  •  The scope of the project covers, broadly:
    – Installation of a 400 tpd Chemical Hardwood Pulp mill (VALMET)
    – A Chemical Recovery Island (ANDRITZ) and
    – A 20 MW Turbo Generator (BHEL)
    – Other auxiliaries like Chipper, ClO2 plant, Water /Effluent treatment systems
  •  Project Cost estimate : Rs.1250 Crore (Being revised to Rs.1330 Cr.)
  • All Plant and machinery deliveries completed.
  • Civil works completed in all areas.
  • Equipment Erection have been completed in all the plants.
  • Piping Erection works completed in all areas.
  • Electrical and C&I completed in all areas.
  • Pulp Mill is ready for receiving raw material and chemicals.
  • Evaporator ready for receiving black liquor
  • Recovery Boiler : Ready for commissioning with one pass of ESP.
  • Due to incessant rains during Oct/Nov., progress of OSBL piping works including steam piping,
    HT/LT cabling, insulation works etc., were impacted.
