Toughness meets sustainability
TNPL is the “first” mill in the Paper Industry in the Country, producing cement by reusing inorganic solid wastes like lime sludge from the paper mill’s soda recovery plant and fly ash from power plant to produce superior-grade cement. We aspire to create a circular economy model that minimizes pollution-led damage and maximizes positive environmental impact. With the construction of TNPL’s Unit-II packaging board plant in Mondipatti using the cement manufactured by TNPL Cement Plant, we realized the circular economy.
By optimizing resources and employing pollutant by- products from TNPL’s other plants into manufacturing cement, we create a strong clean and unpolluted environment.

Value Addition Manufacturing
Founded in 2013, TNPL’s cement plant is located at the heart of Tamil Nadu in Kagithapuram. Started with a capacity to manufacture 600 TPD of high-quality cement, in the year 2016 , TNPL has enhanced its production capacity to 900 TPD by introducing Pre-Calciner and other balancing equipment in the Cement Plant. Right from raw material procurement to cement production, TNPL’s Cement Plant is equipped with the most innovative and ultra-modern machinery to perform all its operations in-house.

Mortar cubes of cement and fly ash–lime are cured laboratory curing tanks and tested for compression strength
Products
TNPL boasts two cement ranges catering to different use-cases. Equipped with superior strength, durability and high-resistance, both the products are manufactured from carefully segregated and hand-picked high-reactive fly-ash.
Created from the solid waste discharged from both the paper mill and Packaging Board’s power plant, TNPL Cement is renowned for its improved workability and higher compression strength.

Uncompromised Quality
From sourcing the highest quality raw materials to optimize raw material mixing and process controls with Distributed Controlled System, all the operations at TNPL Cement comply with stringent quality controls to produce the finest output.
Our Quality Control Department conducts hourly tests to optimize particle size control and leverages XRF analyzer to optimize the chemical composition of the raw mix.
Besides recording our innovation in cement manufacturing as pioneers, our certifications testify our ardent commitment towards the environment preservation and employee safety.
Sustainability
Adding Value to Concrete Wealth
Waste to wealth is the founding ideology for TNPL’s Cement Plant. Our staunch commitment to environmental management led to repurposing the high-reactivity fly-ash and lime sludge from our paper mill and board plant power plant into the high-grade cement we produce today.
India’s largest paper mill with lowest water usage
In a bid to positively impact the environment, TNPL practices water conservation with a vision to reduce any dependency on fresh water. With an advanced water treatment plant, recycled wastewater is now fit to irrigate the 575-acre Plantation.
Regenerative Super Power
At TNPL, reuse extends not only to resources but waste products, too. While wash effluents from bagasse processing are used to produce biogas, other waste products like lime sludge and fly ash are fed to manufacture cement.
